Board of Directors

In keeping with the Purpose and Priorities of Life Initiatives, the organization is directed by a partnership of Native/Non-Native Co-Presidents.

LARRY SALWAY, Co-President
Larry is a licensed social worker and served five years as tribal judge on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Larry also pastors He Sapa New Life and oversees several satellite churches on three indian reservations in South Dakota.

RON JENSEN, Co-President
Ron serves as Executive Director of Life Initiatives and President of Native Life Designs. Before starting Life Initiatives, he pastored churches in California and South Dakota.

SUE JENSEN, Secretary
Sue is Sales Manager at Native Life Designs. She has been Ron's wife and ministry partner for 32 years. Her service on the LI Board flows from a life-long love for the Lakota people.

ALAN SMOOT, Board Member and Legal Counsel
Alan is an attorney and founder of Fuelade Technologies, LLC.
